Pilgrimage to Dzogchen - Retreat Caves
A number of famous retreat caves can be found around Dzogchen in beautiful locations. Traditionally masters would retreat to remote caves for practice. Not only do caves provide natural shelter, they remain cool in summer and warm in winter.
The Tsering, or Long Life Cave, is associated with the Dharma protector Tseringma.
The Lotus Cave, Stronghold of Great Bliss, is where enlightened master Dokden Rinpoche stayed and where Kyabje Pema Kalsang Rinpoche and Dzogchen Rinpoche retreat.
